Cacao powder is produced from cacao beans which are ground into a thick cacao paste. After the separation of cacao butter from the solid mass the remainder is dried and ground into powder. As cacao beans contain a lot of antioxidants, so does cacao powder, especially flavonoids. Because of them, cacao acts preventively against cancerous and cardiovascular diseases.
- 1 cup plant milk (almond, hazelnut, rice, etc.)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tablespoon cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon maca powder
- 1 tablespoon melted cacao butter
Mix all the ingredients in a blender, sweeten with agave nectar or mesquite powder.
